Private Equity Fund

A private equity fund is a pooled investment vehicle that is used to invest in private companies or real estate. Private equity funds are typically only available to accredited investors, due to the high risks and illiquidity associated with these investments. Private equity funds usually have a limited partnership structure, with a general partner who manages the fund and limited partners who provide the capital. Private equity investments are long-term investment opportunities with a typical ten-year or longer investment time horizon.
